Ready to boost your career through studies in the School of Nursing? There are several steps you’ll need to follow in the application process.
If you are a traditional student or an LPN seeking a bachelor’s degree , you’ll need to apply for undergraduate admission to the university. Check out the transfer admission requirements if you’re arriving here by way of another institution.
If you are an RN seeking a bachelor’s degree, you can study from the comfort of your home and on your schedule through online education.
You’ll follow a different process if you’re planning graduate studies, starting with application to Ball State’s Graduate School.
The School of Nursing will need one or more forms from you, including the online master’s program application form. Depending on your plans, you might also need the doctor of nursing practice application form (DOC). You may be required to provide references, so there’s a reference letter form (DOC), too.
Please note: Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Also, students with current or pending criminal charges or who are completing a diversion program are not eligible for admission to the School of Nursing.
We accept applications to the School of Nursing from current Ball State students twice yearly: the first 10 days of the fall semester for spring admission and the first 10 days of the spring semester for summer and fall admission.
The application link is posted on the first day of the fall or spring semester. Read the Nursing Applicant Checklist, which you may access at any time. Deadlines are firm, and students must have all materials submitted.
