Payments: Fees are not a part of the block fees paid by on-campus students. You may pay your tuition online during the registration process using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or an e-check. If you do not pay online during the registration process, you will be billed by the bursar’s office. An e-mail notification is sent to your Ball State e-mail account when your current statement is ready to be viewed. This electronic billing system, known as Cardinal QuickPay, allows students to view bills, print bills, and make payments online. E-bills display the same information as traditional paper billing statements. Make a payment now.
Independent Learning Courses: For Independent Learning Program courses, your time in a course begins when your registration is processed, not when the fees are paid.
Paying by Credit Card: If you wish to pay your tuition by credit card, you will need to pay on the Extended Education payment site instead of the Cardinal Quickpay site. On-campus tuition and other fees, such as late fees or installment fees, cannot be paid by credit card.
Late Payments: If your fee payment is received late, the bursar's office will assume that you wish to participate in the installment plan and will assess you an installment fee (assessed monthly) and a late payment fee.
Audit Enrollments: Students who wish to audit an online, Web conferencing, or on site course will be assessed full fees. Audit enrollments are not available for Independent Learning Program courses.
Ball State Fee Remission: Eligible Ball State employees and their dependents may use fee remission for distance education classes. Questions about employee fee remission may be directed to Susan Naylor. Questions about employee dependent fee remission may be directed to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at 765-285-5600. Contact the Office of Payroll and Employee Benefits for fee remission forms.
Tuition Assistance/Veteran Affairs Assistance: VA assistance is available; however, very careful planning is necessary if a student wishes to have VA assistance apply toward your distance education enrollment. For more information, contact Beck Hannaford at 765-285-8801.
Tuition Reimbursement: If you need proof of your registration for your employer, you may print the confirmation page during the registration process. You may also print your schedule. If you need proof of completion, you may view your grades. Please note that your name is not printed on this page for security reasons. However, if you need a hard copy of your grades mailed to you, you may click the postal icon in the upper left hand corner of the page while you are viewing your final grades.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS): Information about vocational rehabilitation benefits is available from the nearest VRS office. To find an office near you, visit the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs Web site.
Over 60 Discount: For persons 60 years of age or older, the registration is half the regular fee.
