The Ball State Sport and Exercise Psychology Laboratory provides the faculty and graduate student of the program with the ideal location to conduct research, collaborate, and offer individualized mental skills training.
To develop quality sport and exercise psychology research and to enhance the performance skills training in accordance with the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and the American Psychological Association ethical guidelines.
Ongoing research in the lab includes both qualitative and quantitative designs and is focused on topics related to the psycho-social aspects of youth sport, sport for development, psychology of coaching, polyensory stimuli and exercise adherence, physical activity and psychophysiological variables, and exercise and cognitive functioning.

Mental Skills Training
Mental skill training offered by graduate student includes goal setting, relaxation, imagery, attentional focus, and team building. Services are offered to athletes, groups and individuals from Ball State University and the surrounding community.
