Admission Procedures

Before any individual can register for a graduate course at Ball State University, the individual must first be admitted to Ball State's Graduate School. Professionals can take classes as a non-degree seeking (licensure and non-licensure) or you can take classes towards a specific master's degree.

Non-degree Guest Student

If you are interested in taking classes but not interested in a specific master's degree, you will need to apply to the Graduate School as a Non-degree Guest Student. For additional information go to Non-degree Guest Student Admission.

Degree Seeking

Ball State offers over 70 different graduate programs. If interested in one of the graduate programs, you will need to apply to the Graduate School and to the specific department/school where the program is offered. Master's Program Description contains a list of the different graduate programs.

If you are interested in a Master's degree in Physical Education, you will need to apply to Ball State University's Graduate School and then to the Sport & Physical Education program. Ball State's Graduate School contains admission information.

You must be admitted to the University before the department/school can review your application. Once you've completed the steps for applying to the Graduate School, then complete the steps outlined for Sport & Physical Education's Admission.
