Common Core, 12 Hours

AQUA 190 - Introduction to Aquatics.
AQUA 216 - Lifeguard Training.
AQUA 315 - Water Safety Instructor (WSI).
AQUA 454 - Swimming Pool Operation and Maintenance.

This emphasis draws students from education majors and enhances their degree. Most states require by law that public school teachers who teach in the pool be Water Safety Instructor certified. This minor provides this and much more, giving the student greater marketability.
