You may write a research paper (RES 697) or a thesis (THES 698) on a research project in a specific science area or on a on a science education topic. The research paper earns a total of three hours credit and the thesis earns six hours credit.

Minors are optinal but, if taken, must include at least six hours of courses approved by a designated advisor from the minor area and the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
