Why Ball State?
Ball State is an excellent place to earn your graduate degree. We offer convenience, abundant resources, excellent research opportunities, and top-notch faculty.
Because returning to earn your advanced degree can be a challenge, we offer our graduate classes in the daytime and evening. To accommodate working professionals who live a distance from the Muncie campus, we also offer the
master of arts (MA) in political science program at the
Ball State Indianapolis Center.
If you are working on your master of public adminstration (MPA) with a
criminal justice concentration, you can draw on the strength of two departments. This allows you to gather specific subject matter from each department, assembling the best of both.
In addition, as a graduate student, you might qualify for a
graduate assistantship to work in
Bowen Center for Public Affairs or alongside faculty members who are working with state and local government. Both of these provide the opportunity to move beyond the classroom and gain some
real-world experience.
