Our department consists of about eight full-time faculty and two adjuncts. All of our faculty hold advanced social work degrees and have many years of experience. As the oldest accredited undergraduate program in the state, we give you the opportunity to explore more than just what’s in the textbooks.
In our program, you will discover more about yourself as you work to improve the quality of life for others; to advocate for social and economic justice for vulnerable populations; and to acquire the skills, knowledge, and values to work with diverse people.
Our alumni make up a significant portion of the social work workforce in east central Indiana and are viewed as excellent graduate school candidates in Indiana's master of social work programs, as well as graduate programs in the Midwest and across the country. We also have an advisory board that helps with the needs of our department.
