Field Experiences

The Office of Teacher Education Services provides a responsible agency and administrative structure for moving laboratory experiences from a series of minimally related segments to a coordinated program of direct contacts with children, youth, teachers, and institutions. These laboratory experiences provide the practical, hands-on foundation which greatly improves the quality of Ball State's teacher education preparation programs. The development of coordinating procedures pertinent to utilization of both on- and off-campus educational settings is an important function of the office. In addition, the office serves as a contact agency for institutions and professional personnel in the field for input from the practitioner's view into the preparatory programs in teacher education.
