This program prepares candidates to teach technology education at the junior high/middle school and high school level. Technology educators help secondary students learn about the designed and human-built world. Topics such as transportation, construction, design, and engineering are common in Indiana's public schools, as well as in programs around the nation. All technology-based courses involve action-based classroom and laboratory instruction. The introductory course for the major in Technology Teacher Education is ITEDU 195 (Exploring Technology Education). For more information, contact Richard D. Seymour, Applied Technology Building/Room 217, 765-285-5652, or go to the program site on the Department of Technology website.
