Whether you want to make a big-picture mark on education through research or make a big difference one student at a time, Ball State’s Department of Educational Psychology provides the building blocks.
We deliver accredited and highly ranked graduate programs in educational psychology and school psychology. Students may pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in either field, as well as an educational specialist degree in school psychology. Also on the menu are licensure and certification in the education of high-ability students. And undergraduate students in other fields may pursue a minor in human development through our department. Many of these options can be completed through distance learning, often in conjunction with full-time employment.
Take some time to learn about our department: With numerous national honors along with accreditations from such bodies as the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists, we are highly regarded in our fields. The accolades recognize both the quantity of students we serve and the quality of their educational experience. And in keeping with Ball State’s strong focus on experiential learning, research, and community impact, we operate a Neuropsychology Laboratory that assists people with neurological disorders and provides doctoral student internship opportunities. Meanwhile, the Psychoeducational Diagnostic Intervention Clinic provides training for school psychology students at all levels as it offers individuals low-cost psychological and educational assessments.
