Programs Offered

The Department of Educational Psychology offers the following degree programs:

• M.A. and Ed.S. in School Psychology 
• Ph.D. track in School Psychology 

You must complete a master's degree prior to officially enrolling in the specialist or doctoral program. However, a few exceptional students may be admitted to the M.A. and Ed.S. or M.A. and Ph.D. programs at the time of their initial application. These students become eligible to officially enroll in the Ed.S. or Ph.D. programs without making further application as long as they maintain appropriate progress.

Program Recognitions

• The Ph.D. and Ed.S. degrees are fully accredited jointly by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The Ph.D. program was granted full accreditation by the American Psychological Association (APA) in 1985.
• First in the total number of graduates since 1990 in academic positions
• Third overall in total number of graduates in academic positions
• Fifth in total publications of current school psychology programs from 1970-99
