Reading Concentration

Concentration Area for Elementary Education

Designed for those individuals who are highly interested in teaching reading in an elementary school.

Required Courses:

EDRDG 320      Content Area Reading
EDRDG 390      Emergent Literacy
*EDRDG 427    Teaching Literacy to Diverse Learners
*EDRDG 450    Reading Strategies and Practicum (6)    

*EDRDG 427 and 450 must be taken in same semester.  EDRDG 430 is a prerequisite of EDRDG 427 and 450.

Complimentary License:
Completion of the concentration area meets all requirements for Elementary Reading License.
