 By the end of the third year, each student should have:

  1. Completed EDEL 301, EDRDG 400, EDEL 351, SS 398, SCI 398, EDPSY 393, and MATHS 391 with at least a grade of "C".
  2. Maintained at least a 2.5 overall G.P.A.
  3. Completed all Department and College Standards.
  4. Passed the Writing Competency Exam.

 

Fourth Year (24 hours)

Fall

  • * EDEL 401:      Student Teaching: Kindergarten (8 weeks) (6)
  • * EDEL 402:      Student Teaching: Primary Grades (8 weeks) (6)

Spring

  • * EDFON 420:   Social, Historical, and Philosophical Foundations of Education (3)
  • * EDEL 400:      Student Teaching: Pre-Kindergarten (8 weeks) (6)
  • * EDEL 450:      Senior Seminar in Early Childhood and Elementary Education (3)

By the end of the fourth year, each student should have:

  1. Passed the designated tests for the Praxis II Exams.
  2. Completed all requirements for graduation.
  3. Applied for graduation.
  4. Completed all Department and College Standards for licensure by the State of Indiana.
