Getting involved in student organizations is an excellent way to build your leadership skills and meet other students who share your interests.

Organizations Related to Special Education

Student Council for Exceptional Children --the professional organization for special educators. The Department of Special Education hosts a student chapter.

American Sign Language Club --the club's mission is to show and share American Sign Language (ASL) with all people regardless of their background in ASL and to help spread deaf awareness to the Ball State community.

Student Education Association --the student chapter of the National Education Association, which is also affiliated with the Indiana State Teacher's Association and the Indiana Student Education Association. Majors in all fields of education are welcome to join this professional organization.
