Stefanía Ægisdóttir, Ph.D., is an associate professor of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services. She is the director of the master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a graduate of the University of Iceland (psychology B.A.; teacher license), and Ball State University (community counseling MA; counseling psychology PH.D.). Her doctoral internship was completed at the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center, Muncie, IN. She is co-editor of the International Handbook of Cross-Cultural Counseling: Cultural Assumptions and Practices Worldwide. She has written about cross-cultural research methods, attitudes and expectations about counseling, clinical judgment, and international and cross-cultural issues and competencies in counseling research and training.
