Jocelyn H. Bolin received her PhD from Indiana University specializing in statistics and quantitative research methods. Prior to coming to Ball State, Bolin was an associate instructor at Indiana University.  Currently, she teaches a variety of statistical methods classes ranging from basic, graduate level courses to more advanced inferential statistics such as analysis of variance, analysis of covariance, and applied regression.  Her research involves issues and best practices related to statistical classification and cluster analysis in the social sciences. Multilevel modeling is another area she actively does research in. She recently finished co-authoring a book on this topic, which is scheduled for publication this spring. More broadly, Bolin collaborates with fellow colleagues on topics such as nutrition, parenting, academic anxiety and sport motivation.
