The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) has nationally recognized the Educational Technology program for the preparation of technology facilitation teachers.
Reviewers from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) reviewed program requirements for the Computer Education License for how well the program met the National Educational Standards for Technology Facilitation (NETS-TF). The reviewers found that "the program provided outcomes that demonstrated continued growth in technology knowledge and skills, as well as a better understanding of concepts related to technology."
NCATE reviewers also recognized that, "assessments reflected understanding of the intent of the NETS-TF standards" and that "revision of the assessments was thoughtful, practical, and comprehensive."
The Computer Education License is available as a license addition for both undergraduate and graduate students in Teachers College.
The Educational Technology program is proudly a part of the Department of Educational Studies within Teachers College.
