Telecommunications

Film and Television Studies Option

The complex relationship between visual media and society has always made the study of film and television a great way to sharpen your cultural awareness and critical thinking skills. The digital revolution has made that study even more compelling.

Unlike the other telecommunications major options, which are hands on and real-product oriented, the film and television studies option is the scholarly study of film and TV. It is contemplative and analytical—perfect for a person who wants to go into law, especially media law, but not for someone who is a future filmmaker or news anchor (if that’s more your speed, check out the News Option).
