Sample Schedules
There are two tracks to think about when you are going into TCOM:
- The News Track. If you decide that you want to be a multimedia journalist, then you would start your time here taking the news classes your freshman year.
- If you are interested in digital production (digital audio, digital video, emerging media), sales and promotion, or film and media studies, you will want to start taking your pre-TCOM classes your freshman year. After you complete those courses, you will declare your option and start taking those classes.
Remember that you are at a liberal arts university. You need to take science, math, modern or classic languages, English, and other classes to round you out as a person of the world. This is very important for you as a communicator. If you want TCOM as a career, you need to be naturally curious about everything.
