News Student Organizations

Cardinal Sports Live (CSL) is a weekly look at intercollegiate and club sports on the Ball State campus. The show highlights sporting events and also features interviews with coaches and players as well as the unique perspectives of the CSL personalities. CSL gets behind the scenes each season as the staff challenges a BSU team or coaches to a game in their sport.

Indiana Outdoors is a BSU-recognized student organization that produces a half-hour nature show for public television that highlights the natural resources, historic sites and recreational opportunities in Indiana. Students independently shoot stories from all over the state.

NewsLink Indiana is Ball State’s Emmy Award-winning nightly newscast. Students perform every role both on-camera and behind the scenes for a live 9 p.m. newscast that reaches all of Delaware County via cable.  NewsLink Indiana offers Ball State students opportunities to learn firsthand how to write, produce, shoot, edit, report, anchor and begin building a portfolio of their work.  No prior experience is required to get started with one of the nation's outstanding student news programs.

Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) -- RTDNA formed a chapter at Ball State in the fall of 1990. RTDNA is the world’s largest organization for broadcast and electronic journalists.

WIPB-TV - Channel 49 is a university-owned, over-the-air PBS affiliate that is carried on 30+ cable systems and uses student volunteers and part-time employees for in-studio and remote productions.
