Biography
Vladimir Stadnik was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and received his ballet training at the State Academy of Russian Ballet (Vaganova Academy). As a professional dancer, he became a soloist and toured throughout the Soviet Union, Western Europe and the U.S.A. Vladimir later studied dance pedagogy at the University of Culture, St. Petersburg. Still while continuing his career, he graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from the Choreographic Department of the State Conservatory, Rimsky Korsakov. Vladimir Stadnik has enjoyed international success as a teacher/choreographer of ballet and character dance in Switzerland, Finland, France and Italy and here in the United States where he was invited to work as Principal of TBCDE in 2004. Later he became ballet coordinator for the School of Performing Arts, NDI in Santa Fe, New Mexico and was a guest teacher throughout New Mexico.

In 2012, Vladimir began to teach as Assistant Professor in the Theatre and Dance department of Ball State University. The same year, he was awarded the Ball State University College of Fine Arts Award for Talents and Artistry, 2012.

Apart from his work in the Ball State dance department, he collaborated with the Indiana World Skating Academy to train international ice skating competitors in ballet.

In the summer of 2013, he came for the first time as a guest teacher to the American Academy of Ballet’s summer program held at SUNY Purchase, State University of New York. He thoroughly enjoys his international teaching experience with students from all over the world this past summer at AAB again.

In October of 2013, Vladimir was a guest teacher for two weeks at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and in the Spring of 2014 gave Masterclasses in South Africa where he taught in Pretoria, Durban as well as the University of Cape Town.

Apart from classical ballet and pas de deux, Vladimir particularly enjoys teaching and choreographing National and Character dances where he excels in bringing his expertise in this field to students of dance.
