An important first question: Are you an international applicant?
Any applicant who requires a visa to study at Ball State or any applicant already on a visa and in the United States is considered an international applicant.
If this applies to you, the Ball State Rinker Center for International Programs will be the office that handles your application process from the very beginning. The Rinker Center is specially equipped to evaluate international credentials and to assist you with the special circumstances that will arise in the course of your application process.
Please visit the International Admissions page now to begin your application process.
Determine if you would like to pursue your desired program on-campus or on-line as you will need to know this during the application process. Here is a listing of programs that have on-line or distance education options.
Certificate and Licensure Applications: $20 per submission
Program and Non-Degree Applications: $60 per program (each program requires a separate application)
Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or pay online with Electronic Check (U.S banks only).
All application materials must be received by the Graduate School no later than 1 week before the beginning of the target academic term.
Please note that academic programs may have different deadlines for material submission. Check with your desired academic program.
Download a checklist (PDF) to assist you in collecting information and preparing for the application process. (Coming soon!)
Please keep in mind the term for which you are applying. If you apply for the incorrect term, you will be required to reapply and must pay the application fee again.
