About the Architecture Library

• The Architecture Library is open daily during the academic year and summer session. See the University Libraries Hours & Calendars for more information.
• Architecture Library books, videos, journals, and magazines check out for the same loan periods as items in the University Libraries collections and are subject to the University Libraries Fine and Cost Policy. Checked out items are subject to recall after two weeks at the request of other library users or at any time if needed for course reserve.
• There are 14 workstations in the library. Each has AutoDesk Revit, Google Sketchup, ArcGIS and other software.
• The library has seven 11 x 17 flatbed scanners, and a Nikon CoolScan V slide scanner.
• Headphones can be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
• Workstations in the Architecture Library print to two black and white printing stations, printer #8 and printer #14.
• Students and faculty may print 500 free pages per semester in the University Libraries; each additional page is 5 cents. Users may check their print balances at any time.
• Workstations can print to the library’s color photocopier/printer for 25 cents per exposure, payable in cash or with a University Libraries copy card. A refillable copy card can be purchased for $1.00 in the Architecture Library (Monday through Friday) or in Bracken Library.
• Ball State users logged into the Ball State Secure Network may print from their laptops to a library printer, including printer #8 in the Architecture Library.
• Instructors may schedule library instruction or orientation sessions for their classes by contacting Amy Trendler, Architecture Librarian, 765-285-5858.
• Instructors may also place items on course reserves in the library or on electronic reserve by contacting Helen Ulrich, Architecture Library Coordinator, 765-285-5857.
