About the Copyright and Intellectual Property Office (CIPO)

The Copyright and Intellectual Property Office serves as a clearinghouse for the Ball State community, answering the sometimes incredibly intricate questions related to intellectual property and copyright.

Led by Fritz Dolak, D.A., M.L.S., the Copyright Office also hosts the Midwest's only annual copyright conference, attended by administrators, lawyers, educators, librarians, students, and others interested in understanding how to properly use copyrighted materials in an educational setting.

Use the resources here to learn more about copyright issues, or contact Dr. Dolak for questions related to copyright, fair use, and the TEACH Act.
