The GIS Research and Map Collection (GRMC) is redefining the traditional map collection and is constantly updating digital collections with resources for use in research and learning.
The GRMC provides access to classroom materials, including custom maps, lesson plan guides and activities, posters, and games through the Cardinal Scholar Ball State University Institutional Repository. Access the Cardinal Scholar from the University Libraries’ main Web page and click on “Browse by Creator” on the top left of the Cardinal Scholar page to view all of the materials from the GRMC. An online guide to using Cardinal Scholar for the classroom is available from the GRMC.
Maps from the GRMC are constantly being added to the University Libraries Digital Media Repository, which is also available from the main Library Web page. Currently digital copies of historic maps of the Ball State University campus, historic atlases of Indiana counties, natural resources maps of Indiana, and historic maps of Muncie and Delaware County from the GRMC are available from the Digital Media Repository.
