Valuable artifacts become useless if you are unable to discover them. That is why Metadata and Digital Initiatives (MADI) creates digital facsimiles of historic artifacts and analog materials, describes these objects in accordance to several internationally-recognized metadata sets, and preserves them alongside born-digital assets in online repositories so they are discoverable, searchable, and available in Ball State classrooms and beyond.
