Bring your laptop and mobile devices to Bracken Library - all five floors have wireless connectivity, making easier for you to study and collaborate.
Of course, you don't need a laptop to research or work on assignments at the libraries. Use your Ball State username and password to start working on one of our public access computers - both PCs and Macs are available, and more than 145 computers feature dual monitors. Featuring software commonly used across campus, these computers have everything you need to start researching and writing papers and reports. Use the Computer Availability System to find an open station, or the Software Locator to find the specific program you need.
Several areas in Bracken Library have computers with specialized programs, including the GIS Research Area, the Music Collection, and the Multimedia area.
Sometimes you just need to jump online for a minute to look up an item in CardCat. If that's the case, use one of our CardCat only stations. These machines don't require a log-in and allow access only to CardCat, so they're the perfect solution when you just need to look up a call number.
