Is there a way I can chat with a librarian to get help?
Certainly. Just use the Ask a Librarian link to find several chat options and the hours when chat is available. For quick questions related to library services and resources, many users have found this chat service to be very convenient.
How can I find the phone number for someone on campus?
Phone numbers can be found online by clicking on the Directory link located on the top of every Ball State web page. University telephone books are also available at the Reference Desk in Bracken Library.
Do the Libraries have tax forms?
No, we do not carry tax forms. For online tax information, visit the following:

Can I make an appointment to get help researching a topic?
Yes! Reference appointments are a great way to get some ideas about where to find information of interest to you. Just fill out the online Reference by Appointment form to get started.
Where can I find salary information for Ball State employees?
Ball State University faculty and professional staff salaries are public information. Current salary information can be obtained at the Circulation/Reserves Desk, located on the first floor of Bracken Library. Salary information from past years is available in Archives and Special Collections Research Center on the second floor of Bracken Library.
Public information requests are handled by University Compliance at 765-285-5162.
Does the library have an ATM?
Bracken Library does have an ATM. It can be found between the double-doors of the south exit.
There are three other ATMs on campus. One is in the Art and Journalism Building, near the Atrium. Another is located north of the Robert Bell Building, across from the Lewellen Pool, Aquatic Center. The third is in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center, on the first floor.
