This major focuses on teaching you the mathematical basis of economics. You’ll be prepared for a career as an economic analyst. The program is also excellent preparation if you plan graduate study in economics.
You’ll take courses in different areas of economics, as well as in statistics, calculus, finance, and programming.
If you would like to major in a mathematics-related area, you should take all the college preparatory mathematics courses that your high school offers. You should enter college with a strong understanding of high school algebra and pre-calculus.
