The physical science education major is a comprehensive four-and-a-half year program that will prepare you to be certified to teach physical science in middle school and high school. The license includes certification in science as well as high school chemistry and physics.

You will take courses in astronomy, biology, geology, chemistry, calculus, and physics. You will also take education methods courses and complete a student teaching experience.

Ball State also offers four-year programs that will lead to secondary education licenses in life science, earth/space science, mathematics, chemistry, or physics.
