Ball State was named the nation’s top wireless campus in a 2005 survey published by U.S. News & World Report. So no matter what classroom—or residence hall room—you’re in, you’re connected. There are also 13 computer and four digital media and imaging labs on campus. And our network reaches far beyond the campus. Our nationally recognized Global Media Network allows classes to interact with students and faculty from universities around the world.
But there are more than just bits and bytes at Ball State. Our motion simulation lab, state-of-the-art music technology studios, campus newsroom, and arboretum and greenhouse rival the facilities of some of the most expensive universities in the country. There’s a 410-seat mainstage where theatre and dance majors go to work and an observatory and planetarium where astronomy majors (and a lot of other majors) check out the stars. There’s also the Ball State University Museum of Art, which hosts exhibitions of student and faculty art, as well as work from major national and international artists. Whether for research or pleasure, Ball State has the facilities you need.
