Congratulations on your admission to Ball State! Our orientation programs for new freshmen and transfer students will help you get involved in the university's vibrant campus life, access our abundant student resources, and succeed in our high-caliber academics.
New Freshmen
If you are—or soon will be—a high school graduate and have never attended any college or university, we'll assist you in your transition from high school senior to
college freshman. We also offer a special orientation program for
nontraditional freshman students (age 23 or older).
Transfer Students
If you have previously enrolled at another college or university, we'll assist you in your transition from school to school. We offer separate orientation programs for
freshman transfers (29 or fewer transferable credits accepted) and
advanced transfers (30 or more transferable credits accepted).
Welcome Week
This week of fun-filled, informative activities in August will make your first days as a Ball State student fun. You'll get to make connections within our supportive campus community, meet other college students, and attend programs and convocations designed especially for new students. You can review a
complete list of events and
