Nondegree-seeking Students

If you wish to enroll for personal and/or professional development rather than in pursuit of a degree, you may apply for admission as a nondegree student .

You must complete these admissions requirements:

1. Must have earned a high school diploma or GED (General Education Development), and have not been enrolled in high school (or its equivalent) for at least two years. High school transcripts and test scores are not required.

2. Must not be currently enrolled in post-secondary institutions.

3. Sign a statement certifying

  • High school graduate or receipt of the GED
  • Good standing status (a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale)
  • Eligibility to return to any post-secondary institutions attended (if applicable)
  • Pay a $25 application fee.

Note: A nondegree student may earn a maximum of 31 semester credits. If a nondegree student is in good academic standing at the conclusion of the semester in which he or she has completed 20 semester credits, then that student may apply for regular admission to pursue a degree. At that time, official transcripts will be required.
