Methods of Delivery

In addition to courses offered on our campus, we have several ways to deliver your education to you:

Online/Internet
Courses offered online are semester long, and each course has its own Web site. You will log onto the course Web site to obtain the course syllabus, complete your homework, receive announcements from your instructor, and communicate with your instructor and classmates.

Web Conferencing
These courses also use the Internet for delivery but are different than online courses. Professors teach live on our main campus in Muncie while being simultaneously video streamed through the Internet to your computer, so you must “attend” or view the course at a set time. Also, you must have a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL, cable, or a T1 line to view these classes. You will be able to phone in, instant message, or e-mail questions to your professor during class.

Live, Onsite
Often Ball State faculty travel to off-campus locations throughout the state to teach—the majority are located in the Greater Indianapolis area.

Independent Learning
The name says it all. You, learning on your own, independently. You may register for classes anytime during the year and select from nine-month and/or 10-week courses. Courses formats may be print, Internet, or a combination of the two. Only undergraduate courses are offered via this mode of delivery.
