Since campus-based funds are limited during the summer, summer term awards consist primarily of loans. To apply, you must submit a loan request form.
There are no separate applications for Federal Pell Grants, Federal Academic Competitiveness Grants (ACG) or National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grants (SMART). If you qualify for these awards, they will be automatically applied to your university account. Pell Grants are available during the summer only if you did not use your entire award for the preceding academic year or will be graduating in summer or fall.
If you have a Presidential Scholarship and want to use it during the summer, you must contact our office. Use of the Presidential Scholarship during the summer will count as one semester of eligibility regardless of enrollment status.
The Indiana Child of Veteran and Public Safety Officer Supplemental Grant Program (CVO) awards will be awarded if the you received CVO funding during the academic year preceding the summer term and if eligible. Otherwise, you must notify our office that you want to use the CVO award. The CVO program requires that a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year on file with our office.
