Our redesigned online application makes it easy to apply for undergraduate admission and housing at Ball State. It’s convenient and secure, and you can finish in less than 20 minutes. If you don’t want to complete the application all at once, you can save what you’ve done and come back to it later, even on a different computer.
By applying online, you may receive an admission decision earlier than if you mail an application. Your data will be transmitted safely over the Internet, and you’ll pay the application fee with a credit card or electronic check over a secure connection. Print out the Guidance Counselor Form for your high school to fill out and submit to us with your official academic transcript.
Did you start filling out an online application before August 27, 2008?
If so, you may finish that application here by September 15; however, we strongly encourage you to create a new account and complete our brand-new application, which offers enhanced features such as the ability to apply for the Honors College and certain fine arts and design programs in one step. All new applicants should use the 2009-10 application.
Applying by Mail
If you prefer, you may download and print an application, fill it out, and mail it to us with your application fee. Be sure to also download the application instructions. Or you may request an application by calling 800-482-4BSU toll-free or 765-285-8300. Completed applications should be sent to: Office of Admissions, Ball State University, Muncie, IN 47306-0855.
International Students
Foreign students who are not U.S. residents should apply for admission to Ball State through the Rinker Center for International Programs.
