On-campus overnight housing is available in Ball State's residence halls for
new freshman fall semester orientation only. Options for students and families are described below. You may choose to stay one, two, or three nights as needed.
For Students Rooms are available for each student in
DeHority Complex. To get a taste of what it’s like to live in a residence hall, all students—even commuters—are encouraged to stay. You’ll share a double room with another incoming freshman and have opportunities to meet fellow students and ask questions of orientation leaders. Each room is:
- able to accommodate two people of the same gender
- furnished with two beds, bed linens, pillows, and towels
- air-conditioned
The room rate for students is $23 per person per night. See registration information below.
For Families
Family members may spend the night in Ball State’s comfortable and contemporary Park Hall, a new residence hall that opened in 2007. Each room in Park Hall is:
- able to accommodate two people
- furnished with two beds, bed linens, pillows, and towels
- air-conditioned
The room rate for family members is $35 per room per night. Reservations for Park Hall are required and need to be made one week in advance of your orientation date. Space is limited and not guaranteed, so please make your reservations early.
