Jay Zimmerman, Ph.D. HSPP received his doctorate In Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia in 1972 . In addition to being a staff psychologist at the Center he is also a Professor of Psychology in the Counseling Psychology Department. His current professional interests are supervision and training and mentoring developing psychologists. He also has interests in suicide; grief and loss; cultural diversity and social justice issues; LBGTQI issues; spirituality in therapy; mediation and conflict resolution. His approach to supervision is collaborative and integrates developmental, interpersonal, multicultural and experiential models. In addition, he is a professional award winning artist and shows work regularly.
