Greek Leadership Classes

Ball State Greeks can take advantage of two Greek leadership classes. The classes are two credit hours and count towards the Leadership Studies Minor.

EdHi 401a targets emerging leaders and is offered in the fall semester only. Edhi 401c targets chapter and Greek council officers and is offered during the spring. Both classes help Greeks learn about campus and national resources, further develop their personal values and leadership skills and identify ways to create changes within their chapters and the Greek community as a whole.

401 A Course Objectives:

•   To understand the history of Greek organizations and their role on 21st century campus

•   To grow and develop as individuals and ethical Greek leaders

•   To gain applicable skills, knowledge and tools to create positive change within the Greek community

•   To be empowered to and develop skills to confront behavior inconsistent with organizational values and mission

•   To identify strengths and weaknesses within his/her own personal chapter (if applicable) and the Greek community

•   To have fun

 

 

401 C

Course Objectives:

•   To understand the history of Greek organizations and their role on 21st century campus

•   To develop a sense of community amongst Greek leaders and strengthen relationships

•   To understand the partnerships between the host campus, national headquarters and advisors and alumni, chapters and Greek councils

•  To identify personal and organizational values and evaluate their behavioral alignment with those values

•  To be empowered to and develop skills to confront behavior inconsistent with organizational values and mission

•  To understand different leadership styles and identify ways to work with people who have different styles

•  To be able to implement positive change within the Greek chapters and councils at Ball State

•  To have fun
