Welcome from the President

Brandon Steinbrook, Interfraternity Council President

In 1920, two years after Ball State University was founded, fraternity life has been an integral part of student life. Since the beginning we have striven to enhance both the academic and extracurricular experience for thousands of men.

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is a self-governing body representing the eleven member fraternities at Ball State University. IFC consists of nine executive council members, a voting representative from each fraternity and the chapter president from each fraternity. It is led by a nine member Executive Committee, which works closely with the Greek advisors.

We strives to promote excellence in all aspects of fraternity life and academic excellence. The eleven member chapters work together to help the entire Greek community better achieve its common goal of membership development and service to the Muncie community. The IFC works to achieve these goals through areas including chapter development, scholarship, community service, member education, alumni and public relations. Each year, the Council sponsors numerous educational seminars covering a variety of topics pertinent to the lives of Ball State University students.

I welcome you to the website of the Interfraternity Council at the Ball State University, and I invite you to explore and see what makes us an exemplary IFC.

If you have any questions regarding the fraternity community or want to learn more about us, please contact any officer.
