Greek Peer Mentors are fraternity and sorority members trained by the Health Center and Counseling Center to provide a wide variety of quality programs that can be requested by each Greek organization.
The programs can range from safe management of alcohol, eating disorders, drug abuse, sexual health and sexual assault.
Having a peer mentors in the Greek community ensures members are better educated and informed about risky behaviors and actions they can take to change the behaviors.
Qualifications to be a Greek Peer Mentor include:
- 2.7 cumulative GPA
- Complete application and attend interview
- On good standing within individual chapter
- Must be initiated for two semesters
- Must attend training sessions
- Each Greek Peer Mentor will hold the position for 2 academic semesters
- Work with Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council Vice Presidents of Risk and Membership
