Ball State University contracts with
IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital to administer the Health Center. Ball Memorial Hospital, located across the street on the south end of campus, has a long history of association with Ball State University.
The Medical Director of the Health Center reports to both the Administrative Director of IU Health Ball Memorial Physicians and to the Director of Counseling and Health Services at Ball State. The Director of Counseling and Health Services in turn reports to the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs.
There is a Health Center Steering Committee made up of the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, the Director of Counseling and Health Services, the Administrative Director of IU Health Ball Memorial Physicians, and the medical Director of the Health Center. This committee meets several times yearly and oversees operation of the Health Center.
There is a Student Advisory Board made up of the members of the Steering Committee as well as 6-12 students. The Advisory Board meets once each spring and fall semester to provide student input into the operation of the Health Center.
