Information for International Students about Tuberculosis Testing

International students are required by Indiana law to be tested for tuberculosis, or TB, in the United States before beginning classes at Ball State University.

Testing will be done during orientation before classes begin.

The test used at Ball State is a blood test which is not affected by Tuberculosis vaccination, or BCG.  The cost of the test is $70.  Students who have a positive test will be required to have additional evaluation before starting classes.

The complete policy for TB testing can be found here.
