If something in your apartment needs to be repaired, there are two ways to report the problem:

We prefer requests by phone so we may assess your problem immediately and gather additional information if needed.

Our maintenance staff is available for repairs from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday during the academic year, or 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the summer. If you have an emergency that requires a repair after hours, please page the University Apartments staff member on duty. During official university break periods, after-hours emergencies should be directed to the University Police.

Batteries and Bulbs
Smoke detector batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, refrigerator light bulbs, and stove hood light bulbs are available at the University Apartments office. Just bring us the old batteries or bulbs, and we’ll give you new ones to install. After the first 30 days of living in an apartment, residents are responsible for replacing regular incandescent light bulbs.

Toilet Plunger
We highly recommend that all residents purchase a toilet plunger. It can be invaluable in the event of a clog. If you flush the toilet once and it begins to back up, you should plunge it immediately. Do not flush a second time as it might overflow. The water will likely go down after plunging. If it doesn't, please contact us during regular hours or the staff member on duty after-hours.
