Close to several academic buildings, Bracken Library, and the Student Recreation and Wellness Facility, Studebaker Complex is comprised of two buildings: Studebaker East and Studebaker West.
Studebaker East is currently under renovation with plans to open for fall 2012.
The renovated Studebaker West, which has Palmer/Davidson and Painter/Whitcraft halls, has a contemporary look enhanced by European styling and a glass-block decor.
The complex was named for Mark E. Studebaker, one of the first four business education professors at Ball State and head of the Department of Business. He carried a keen interest in people and a satisfaction in teaching during his 36 years on campus. The complex opened in 1965.
