Minimum Computer Requirements
Windows Computer
- 2.0GHz+ 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) dual core processor
- 2GB RAM (system memory) (3GB+ preferred)
- Windows 7 or Vista
Macintosh Computer
- iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air
- 2GB RAM (System Memory) (3GB+ preferred)
- System OS X Leopard
Required Internet Connection Hardware
- Wired - Network Ethernet card, 10 BASE-T or 10/100 BASE-T and Ethernet cable (Optional – 5-port switch and extra Ethernet cable, if you and your roommate wish to use the wired connection at the same time)
- Wireless - 802.11g or 802.11n wireless card (Wireless cards are installed on most notebook computers at purchase.) Devices must be able to connect to wireless using WPA or WPA2-Enterprise "security type" setting. For more information on the wireless available and how to connect to it on campus, click the wireless link. (Note: Most mobile gaming devices, Blu-ray players, and gaming consoles are unable to connect to the wireless because of the security type settings requirement.)
IMPORTANT: Wired and wireless routers are not permitted for use on the Ball State network. Routers will be turned off when detected as routers negatively affect other users in your building.
