Harry Watkins Conference Room

This room is named in honor of alumnus Harry Watkins, who in 1933 was the first African-American male to graduate from Ball State.

Watkins traveled extensively around the world and collected a lot of memorabilia. The room houses Watkins’ collections, which includes more than 2,000 photos from his travels and a map indicating his various travel expeditions. We encourage you to come and take a look at this display for study or enjoyment.

Also, this space can be used as a meeting room for the campus community. The space can also be used after hours if need be. Contact us if you are interested in using the space or any of our other services.
