Leadership + Community

Each semester, the Excellence in Leadership program invites nationally recognized leaders to our campus to serve as keynote speakers. These speakers share their experiences, expertise, and wisdom with our students.

Often, our best and brightest students are invited to eat dinner with these speakers or engage them in a small group discussion. This year, we were pleased to host:

Billy Beane

-General manager for the Oakland A's and inspiration for the book and film Moneyball 

Robert Gibbs / Liz Cheney

- Gibbs is the former White House press secretary for President Barack Obama

- Liz Cheney worked in the Department of State for President George W. Bush 

Kohl Crecelius

- Founder of Krotchet Kids

Jessica Jackley

- Founder of Kiva.org
