Ball State Mock Trial Association is an organization in which students gain knowledge and experience in trial advocacy. Members read and study civil/criminal case files. Students then take on the roles of attorneys and witnesses and present the case in a trial setting. Conducting opening statements, direct examinations, cross examinations, and closing arguments in competitions with other colleges give the members real world experiences and help improve their public speaking and critical analysis skills.
